Germinated and grew well despite late sowing. Grew well but then caterpillars decided they liked it so some plants were heavily defoliated. Pretty and good tasting.

Seeds germinated quite well. The plants are quite resistant to disease and insects - though there are a few holes here and there. I can understand this as the kale is very tasty. The seeds were planted late and the plants are still growing strong - unless they were affected by the frost of a few nights ago - haven\'t been to the farm in the last week.

Mediocre germination and very slow to grow in Saratoga County. Young leaves were tender and tasty but plants have never sized up.

A backbone of my garden. I give it a decent start before harvesting, and then clip leaves weekly for market plus in between for home use. It is the Everready Bunny of the garden - I had some on New Year's Day , completely unprotected, zone 4, and it was delicious. Mine is quite curly. This is a workhorse and one of my most profitable market crops-- though my customers either love kale or won't go near it!
